Coaching Agreement

At the Society of Elite Résumé Writers and Coaches, our coaching approach is designed to support your growth as a professional, business owner, and industry leader.

Our Four Pillar Coaching Strategy

Clarity, Focus, Strategy, Execution provides a structured framework to help you reach your professional and business goals when you commit to building a strong, collaborative relationship with your SERWC coach.

Our objective is to hold you accountable to the goals we define together and to support you in implementing the strategies developed during coaching. As an external partner, your coach may identify blind spots, growth opportunities, or patterns that are difficult to recognize on your own. This process increases awareness and equips you with new ways of thinking, leading, and operating within your practice and career.

What Is Coaching?

Many high performing professionals discover that working harder and longer does not automatically lead to fulfillment or sustainable success. Identifying the changes required to create a more aligned, profitable, and meaningful professional life often requires perspective, structure, and accountability.

Elite performers across sports, entertainment, and business have long understood the value of working with a professional coach who provides encouragement, insight, strategic guidance, and accountability. Coaching supports growth through intentional action, not guesswork.

Through SERWC coaching, you will be challenged to clarify what you truly want for your career, business, and professional identity. We are deep listeners who pay attention to what is said and unsaid, and we partner with you to help you move toward the outcomes you desire, both professionally and personally.

Our Coaching Relationship

Your coaching sessions are focused entirely on you, your business, and your professional development. We ask that you treat your coaching time as a priority by arriving on time, prepared, and ready to engage fully in the process.

You are encouraged to explore your goals, challenges, and opportunities with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to think differently. Growth requires commitment, reflection, and action, and yes, we believe learning should be engaging and enjoyable.

As your coach, we support you in discovering, creating, and moving toward the work and life you want. We provide the coaching structure and guidance. You choose the actions you take and the results you pursue. Your outcomes are the result of your decisions and efforts. Your wins are yours, and we are here to support and encourage you every step of the way.

Coaching vs. Psychotherapy

Coaching is not psychotherapy. SERWC coaches do not diagnose, treat mental health conditions, or provide therapy services.

While past experiences may naturally arise during coaching conversations, our work is future focused. We reference the past only to gain clarity, insight, or context that informs your current goals and forward momentum.

Coaching is a developmental and learning based process designed to increase awareness, unlock strengths, and help you take intentional action. If at any point we believe additional professional support would be beneficial, we will encourage you to seek services that best meet your needs.

Coaching Sessions

Coaching sessions are 30 or 45 minutes, depending on the service purchased. This duration has proven effective for gaining clarity, identifying next steps, and maintaining forward momentum.

If you have multiple areas requiring support, a package of sessions is strongly recommended.

Sessions should be scheduled approximately two weeks apart to allow time for implementation and reflection between sessions.

All sessions are conducted via Google Meet or audio only. While video is available, audio only sessions often provide a more focused experience by enhancing listening and reducing distractions.

If you need to reschedule a session, please provide at least four hours’ notice using your scheduling link or by emailing [email protected]. Reschedule requests made with less than four hours’ notice may incur a $50 rescheduling fee.

Recordings and summary transcripts will be provided within 1-2 business days following your session.

Refunds and Session Use

Refunds are not offered for coaching sessions that have already occurred. Any remaining unused sessions may be prorated, less a $75 administrative fee.

In lieu of a refund, you may choose to keep unused sessions on file for future use. All coaching sessions must be used within one year from the date of purchase or they will be forfeited.

Coaching sessions are non transferable and may not be gifted to another individual, as coaching is highly personalized and relationship based.

Our Coaching Philosophy

We believe in equipping our members with the tools, strategies, and perspective needed to grow strong, ethical, and sustainable career practices.

We believe strategy only works when it is implemented. There is no shortcut or guarantee of results. What we do guarantee is our commitment to providing thoughtful guidance, professional insight, and a strategic framework that supports your growth.

To remain fully present during sessions, we take minimal notes. We strongly encourage you to maintain your own coaching file, take notes, and keep relevant materials easily accessible for continued progress.

What Is Expected of You as the Client

We commit to supporting you, and we ask that you make an equal commitment to yourself.

As a coaching client, you are expected to attend sessions on time, come prepared, remain open minded, and take ownership of the actions discussed. You are responsible for following through on strategies and reflecting honestly on progress and challenges.

You must be willing to engage in thoughtful dialogue and answer challenging questions. Our goal is to help you uncover the value, insight, and expertise already within you so you can operate confidently as the CEO of your career and business.

What Is Expected of Your SERWC Coach

Your coach is expected to listen attentively, respect your goals, and work within agreed upon session objectives. Each session will have a defined focus so expectations are clear and productive.

The purpose of coaching is to identify obstacles, clarify goals, and develop actionable strategies that move you forward intentionally and sustainably.

Promotional Content and Testimonials

Client experiences and testimonials help our community grow, and we are grateful for your support. From time to time, SERWC may reference anonymized client experiences to illustrate impact and attract aligned members.

We will never share identifying details without your explicit permission. If you agree, we may request a written or video testimonial following the conclusion of your coaching engagement. A feedback form will be sent within 30 days of program completion.

Agreement

This agreement outlines the expectations and responsibilities of both you and the Society of Elite Résumé Writers and Coaches. While legal language may not be exciting, it is important that you read and understand this agreement fully before proceeding.

If you do not understand or agree with any portion of this agreement, you may choose not to proceed with services. This agreement may not be altered and is a required condition of participation.
